Information We Collect
Account Information: Creating an account is optional. If you register, we store your name, email, password hash, profile link, language, privacy preference, and optional profile photo.
Quiz Matches: We process your quiz answers to calculate a result. Answers are not saved. If you choose to save a match, we store a snapshot of its top three results on your profile.
Technical Information: We collect IP addresses, browser type, and device information for security purposes, to prevent abuse, and analytics purposes.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the service.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Sarahah service
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the product experience
- Send you important service-related communications
- Protect against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
- Improve and develop the service
- Comply with legal obligations
Analytics
We use analytics tools to understand how the service is used and improve the experience. Signed-in activity may be associated with an internal account identifier. We do not send quiz answers or passwords to analytics providers.
Quiz Results
Quiz results are shown at the end of each quiz. If you save a match, its top three results appear on your profile. Profiles are public by default and can be made private in settings. Empty and private profiles are excluded from search indexing.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers who help us operate Sarahah
- When required by law or to respond to legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of Sarahah, our users, or the public
